... It is less important to have lots of friends, and more important to have real ones. So I'm late with this as I was out late but I shall simply do tomorrow now and today this evening.
On day 8 of my #100HappyDays challenge, realising what I was happy about was easy: My friends! Over the years, I have managed to sneak into and become an official part of a group of friends who have known each other for years and years. They are the funniest, weirdest, craziest, kindest, loveliest, bestest of friends anyone could ask for and I love them all deeply.
Here are but a few of them in a picture from last night. I feel incredibly lucky, fortunate, and most of all HAPPY to have such an amazing group of people to call my friends. I admire their ability to not take life too seriously, not get embarrassed easily, and never to treat anyone unwelcome. These lovely lot have made my time in London infinitely more happy. As individuals and as a group, I know they've got my back and I can count on them in times of need. I am able to share excitement, frustration, anger, tears, and happiness with these people and know I will never be judged or treated badly.
I love all of you crazy kids and I hope we get together as a group again soon!
